HASLETT, MI - Cheezy D’s Deli & Dogs held a 3 day Grand Opening in Haslett from August 21st - August 23rd from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Cheezy D’s offer a delicious variety of hot dogs, deli sandwiches, and ice cream. In celebration of opening, there where specials for children ages 14 and under for a small soft serve and $2.00 hot fudge sundaes for everyone.
HOMTV spoke with the co-owner of Cheesy D’s Deli & Dogs, Denny Emmer, who is also a resident of Haslett, says: “People love ice cream on hot days, and it goes hand to hand. I think people are tired of being cooped up a little bit. We are working out of a window, it's about as safe as you can get practice wise. We’re just trying to make sure everyone knows to keep spacing, we got signs all over, and tape on the ground to space. As long as everyone’s safe, it just a good family time to get out and get some ice cream, walk over to the beach. Haslett has a lot to offer.”
Emmer's family has been in Haslett for a long time and thanked the community for their support during the COVID-19 pandemic and added, “It’s good to have a place now that you can see your friends, neighbors, new neighbors and be able to do something in the community where people can come and be happy and enjoy some good ice cream and some good food.”
