OKEMOS - If you've been slacking on your reading this month, you may want to head to your local library, because March is Reading Month and its almost over.
There are many options when trying pick out something you like. Do you like fantasy, adventure, horror, science fiction, or is there something that you just want to learn more about?
Tom Shilts, the Youth Services Librarian at the Okemos Library, expressed that reading is such a great way to experience things that you may not if you're simply watching a movie or television show.
"Unlike video and stuff like that," he said, "you can make it last as long as you want, you can provide your own pictures, you can go back and see things."
Shilts added, "its an intrinsically valuable thing to do is reading. I believe that everywhere from kids up to adults."
