MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Every year, the Meridian Township Fire Department conducts ice rescue scenario trainings that are required for every member of the department.
The firefighters must demonstrate self-rescuing themselves while submerged in water, as well as rescuing another person. The trainings took place in the pond at Central Park South, across from the Marketplace on the Green venue.
