Armed Robbery at Subway in Okemos

OKEMOS - An armed robbery occurred at a Subway located on 2160 Grand River Avenue in Okemos on April 9th around 9 pm.

According to Meridian Township Police, a male suspect was identified by a Subway employee at the time of the incident as wearing a mask and displaying a weapon.

The suspect had demanded money from the register the fled from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. The employee was not injured.

Shortly after the incident, Meridian Township Police arrived to the scene. They were assisted by the East Lansing Police and the Michigan State University Police Department.

The suspect has been described as a white male with blond hair. He is approximately 5'7"-5'10" with a petite build.

The suspect was wearing a mask, a black longs sleeve shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

The investigation is currently still ongoing. Anyone who may have information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Meridian Township Police Department at 517.853.4800.
