LANSING - A press conference was held on March 27 at noon in regards to former Michigan State University Dean of Osteopathic Medicine, William Strample.
Strample was arrested and booked the night before in the Ingham County Jail.
Strample, who was former supervisor of then MSU Gymnastics Doctor, Larry Nassar, allegedly used his office to harass, discriminate, demean and sexually assault female students.
Larry Nassar is former MSU Gymnastics coach who was charged and found guilty to federal child pornography charges and was sentenced to 40-125 years in prison. Nassar faced charges within Eaton County, Ingham County and federally.
Strample is charged with felony of misconduct within his office and misdemeanors of criminal sexual assault within the fourth degree. Along with two misdemeanor counts of willful neglect of duty.
Strample was arraigned Tuesday afternoon at 2:30pm.
He was given $25,000 bond along with conditions of no out of state travel, no form of contact with any of the victims, and no contact with any former or current MSU medical student.
