Steps to Freedom participant, Julie Vruggink, briefly talks about what The House of Promise is, "And The House of Promise is obviously an organization that will become a haven for girls that have been sexually abused or have been in human trafficking."
"It's our fifth year doing this, and it gets bigger and bigger every year. It's really amazing, the support we get," says Shari Montgomery, Founder and President of The House of Promise.
Starting this month, The House of Promise will take in survivors of human sex trafficking.
When asked how it feels to finally be open, Shari says, "It's been a long time coming. We're really excited it's finally here."
