EAST LANSING - The Wharton Center for Performing Arts will be putting on a production of the play "Lungs". It was written by English playwright, Duncan Macmillan, and follows a young couple on a trip through IKEA as they debate whether or not to have a child.
The play explores the fears and anxieties associated with bringing a child into a 21st century world, while also proving to be a unique viewing experience for all. "Lungs" is performed by two actors, Paige Hernandez and Eric Gilde, on a bare stage without lights, props or music. The audience will be seated onstage with the actors showcased in the center.
"Lungs" is directed by Bert Goldstein and will be performed in the Pasant Theatre in the Wharton Center starting Thursday, February 15 and running until Sunday, February 18, 2018. Tickets can be purchased online at whartoncenter.com, at the Auto-Owners Insurance Ticket Office, or by calling 1-800-WHARTON.
