HASLETT, MI - Five months after it's creation at this year's Celebrate Meridian event, Meridian Township's 2nd community mural has found a permanent home.
Hillbrook Park in Haslett, now has the five paneled 7 ft tall and 4 feet wide mural. On Thursday, November. 9th Township community members and employees came out to the Mural Dedication.
The event commenced with a presentation and a ribbon cutting, During the dedication, Director of Parks and Administration LuAnn Maisner spoke, along side Artist Kelly Boyle, and Volunteer Michael Mcdonald.
"Young and old and people who had never held a paint brush before and experienced artists all were apart of this creation", says Boyle.
Boyle cut the red ribbon with jumbo size golden scissors. Now Haslett will always have a beautiful piece of Art apart of the scenery.
When asked if there will be more mural's created in the future, Boyle says "I am grateful for the opportunity, and hopefully there will be more."
