EAST LANSING - Laughter. The premise of a unique story of two best friends with a dream.
Comedians Sam Silverstein and Nick Tenaglia joined forces to create an interactive comedy show.
Laughter is the Cure is a show that incorporates stand-up and film to create an experience that audience members say was unlike any other.
“It was more than I anticipated,” said one audience member.
Not only does this show entertain their audience, but also the children of C.S. Children’s Mott Hospital.
All proceeds from the show are donated to provide toys, books and more to comfort these children.
“The reason we kind of started it was to sorta like follow what we love to do and like continue chasing our dreams, while like giving a greater purpose to it. And we really wanted to create something where people could get involved and give back to those less fortunate than us while still having the most fun time possible,” said founder of the show, Sam Silverstein.
Since its start, Laughter is the Cure has raised around $25,000.
“My goal with this show is to do as long as possible. To get it to it’s highest peak. To make as much money as we can to help out the children’s hospital and to have as much fun as we’re doing it,” said co-star Nick Tenaglia.
