EAST LANSING - Ahhhhhh...Miss Saigon...why do you torture my soul so much?! What a heart rendering performance at the Wharton Center tonight. It was the one performance I wanted to jump up and yell bravo at the same time wanting to just put my head in my hands and cry.

What a gut wrenching story with breath taking performances. The last time I wanted to bawl my eyes out after a show was when I saw Marley and Me at the movie theater. Luckily my sister had my back and brought tissue with her.

From the moment the music starts... the saga of this love story captures your heart and never let's go of you. The story takes place during Vietnam and tells the tale of a young soldier and Vietnamese woman doomed from the start with the most difficult decisions. I cried three times during this performance and the hair on my arms stood up during several scenes. I can't recommend seeing Miss Saigon enough.

There are some disturbing moments with a jarring opener. I have to say that I was taken aback with the opening scene but I know going into movies, performances and TV series that I'm shocked by more things than the general public.

Go see this. Even if you've seen it before, this is a performance you won't want to miss.
