MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On Tuesday, March 31 the Meridian Township Board held their first virtual meeting in wake of COID19. One of the action items on the agenda was the Municipal Building HVAC Replacement Bids. This ended up being approved and the construction management firm, Fishbeck, is to oversee the HVAC replacement project. In addition, they will handle the bonding, insurance, permits, and asbestos abatement.
The motion was to authorize Deputy Township Manager Derek Perry to proceed with the 2.2 million dollar Municipal Building HVAC replacement project and accept the mechanical and electrical bids. The motion was approved unanimously 7-0.
Start of construction is yet to be determined but will depend on resolution of the coronavirus.
The next Township Board meeting is tentatively set for Tuesday, April 14 at 6pm.
