MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, MI - Since mid-May Consumers energy has been working to replace and upgrade vintage 1950s steel main lines, which can no longer be used, with new and durable plastic lines throughout Meridian Township.

Consumers will be replacing nearly 6000 feet of natural gas main line and more than 80 natural gas service lines to individual customers in three main locations throughout the Township (Oakwood Rd, Tomahawk Rd, and Lagoon/Wausau Dr).

The project was coordinated with the Township to take place before their street paving work begins, and is expected to finish by June 20, 2021.
