UPDATE: EAST LANSING - Meg Cabot, mostly known for her Princess Diaries series kicked off her tour for her new book, "Size 12: Ready to Rock" at Schuler's books. But how exactly does she portray humor so well onto paper?

"I think that's just the way people deal with stress and that's certainly the way I've always dealt with it and it certainly helps. That's just the way I write down kind of what pops into my head is the way I would react to a situation, and I guess humor is probably inherited." Said Cabot.

Cabot is known to write romantic and paranormal fiction for teens and adults and used to write under several pen names, but not writes exclusively under her real name.
