Bottoms Up Dance Boutique Will Close In May

OKEMOS - After 40 years Sherry Fischer is retiring, which means she will close her dance boutique Bottoms Up in May.

"It has been a wonderful run here and it has been my joy to help everyone get what they need and encourage them to dance or be in theater groups and ill miss them dearly," said Fischer.

Since it opened, Bottoms Up, known for selling a wide-range of dance shoes, bodywear and accessories, has made an impact on the local community and everyone who shops there.

One local dancer said, "I feel really sad because I don't know where to go to get my pointe shoes. It's hard to find them."

Another customer said, "We've been with this place for a long time, so it's going to be sad to have them gone. We're going to miss them."

In a Facebook post to their customers, they said they are retiring to Florida and are holding a store closing sale as their last curtain call with 30% off everything.
