UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Canadian-based coffee chain, Tim Hortons, recently had a soft opening of a brand new location as a combination eatery with Cold Stone Creamery. The new store offers amenities such as a lounge area with a flat screen TV and fireplace, as well as wireless internet access. The new store, on Okemos Road, the former Burger King location, will be ready for a grand opening soon.

Co-Owner of the Tim Hortons Café & Bake Shop and Cold Stone Creamery,Gazmend Dervishaj, believes that the store is in a great location and also says of the location, "We're in a great community. I found the people around here to be very loyal; we have a lot of regular customers, being the fact we've only been open since December 31st."

Tim Hortons has also recently opened a kiosk in the Meridian Mall in Okemos, just outside of the food court. Plans have also been submitted to the Township to possibly open a location in the to-be-renovated Marathon Fuel Station on Hagadorn Road.
