Request

Leaders from the development team and Forsberg Reality sought feedback from the Board about a Brownfield Request for the future luxury apartment complex.

“As a company that has been around for 60 years this is our first brownfield request. This isn't something we have done before and as Will has made the comment 'this is something we hope not to do again.' It’s been 10 months of a lot of work,” said Brent Forsberg.

The total site is about 35 acres however there are contaminated soils, with high levels of petroleum. The request includes wanting to to remove the groundwater and petroleum contamination until it is certified as clean before they begin building upon that soil.

The Township Board suggested that the project come back for their approval with more information about the exact funding of the brownfield request The complex will be located north of Jolly Road, and Farrins Parkway.
