LANSING - Owner, coach and player of Lansing City Futsal, Jeremy Klepal, placed second with Team USA at the Pacific Cup in San Jose, Calif.

He was selected to the Unites States Futsal Federation Pacific Cup National Team, where he and the team player Mexico, Mexico U-20, Australia and Australia U-20.

Team USA won its first group game, 4-2, against Mexico U20, followed by victories in the second and third group games against Australia, 7-2, and Mexico, 4-3.

Klepal scored a crowd favorite in the victory against Australia.

Officials are looking for footage of the goal to nominate him for top
goal of the year.

The final came down to a rematch for Mexico against Team USA.

Tied going into the second half, multiple yellow cards were given.

Mexico scored at the 17-minute mark, and Team USA couldn’t get the comeback.

Klepal said that a runner-up title is a great accomplishment for futsal in the U.S.
