Winter Farmers' Market

Winter Farmers' Market

UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Inside the Meridian Mall, in the JC Penny corridor, the Winter Farmer's Market was busy with holiday shoppers. On December 3rd, local farmers and business owners set up shop to sell produce, fruit, and homemade treats. From apples and cider to baked goods like bread, cookies, and pies, shoppers had their pick from many delicious choices. It wasn't all food, however, as many groups sold things like holiday decor.

The Meridian Garden Club Fundraising Committee was there selling holiday centerpieces to raise funds for the club. Susan Laahy, Chairperson of the committee said, “We've thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to be here today. It's a vibrant, alive, delightful event, and it's wonderful to share with our community some of the love of gardening that all of our members have."

All around the Winter Farmer's Market things like centerpieces, wreaths, and Christmas trees could be found. Homemade goods like candles, soap, and winter gear were also for sale. The market even had services like knife sharpening and a table for free activities for kids. If you missed the Winter Farmer's Market this time around, it will be back in the mall throughout the winter on every first and third Saturday, December through March as well as March 31st and April 14th.
