• Okemos school board members at a meeting

UPDATE: OKEMOS - Two new Okemos board members are elected and they are ready to make a difference for the community.

Vincent Lyon-Callo will serve on the board for a two-year term beginning in January 2013. Damian Fisher won a four-year term in an uncontested race. One competitive race was between James Mcgillicuddy and Vincent Lyon-Callo but the winner edged out by nearly 3000 votes cast in their race.

Fisher said that serving public service has been always his passion and he is very happy to be part of the community.

Lyon-Callo teaches Anthropology at Western Michigan University and supports public education for children.
