Variances for Autozone Development

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On February 11th, the Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approved the variances requested by the applicant of the Autozone Development, located at 2649 Grand River Avenue.

For the proposed AutoZone store, the applicant requested to have an insufficient number of off-street parking spaces and a buffer less than 15 feet wide along the east property line.

The applicant requested variances from 2 sections of the Code of Ordinances, Section 86-755, which requires five to five and a half parking spaces per one-thousand square feet of floor area for retail use, and section 86-756(14) which requires that a parking area have a landscape buffer at least 15 feet wide.
