Gaps In The Haslett Road Pathway To Be Filled

Gaps In The Haslett Road Pathway To Be
Filled

HASLETT - If you are a frequent user of the pathway along Haslett Road between Okemos Road and Bayonne Avenue, you are going to start seeing some drastic changes.

Gaps in the pathway system along Haslett Road are soon to be closed off allowing for a continuous pathway along the whole route.

The gaps are going to be filled 7 feet wide with concrete sidewalk to match the remainder of the pathway along the busy road.

Project Engineer Nyal Nunn says that, "we strive to provide pedestrian safety and to allow better access for pedestrians, for recreational purposes, as well as just for normal business."

The construction on the pathway will begin in the next few weeks. With additional lanes for traffic on Haslett Road, the impact of the construction should not be significant.
