MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The National Recreation and Park Association is celebrating 30 years of Parks and Recreation Month and Meridian Township is joining the celebration.

Meridian Township Parks and Land Management Coordinator, Jane Greenway, says that residents have plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy the parks.

"With over 911 acres of parks and 750 acres of land preserves, Meridian Township has an abundance of parks for its residents to enjoy," said Greenway.

The Park and Recreation Month is through the end of July.
