MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Residents in both Ember Oaks Subdivision and Ponderosa Estates are concerned about what a new road connecting the two properties may bring to the area.

Developers are looking to extend the current Forsberg Drive to connect the two subdivisions but this sketch plan may change property values for its residents. Meridian Township Director of Community Planning and Development Mark Kieselbach says that citizens have voiced their concerns.

"The Ember Oaks residents are worried that development of the area may change deed restrictions," said Kieselbach. "They also are concerned about bringing down property values."

The sketch plan is in the works but awaits approval by the Meridian Township Board at their next meeting on July 21st.
