Michigan Could Be The Next State To Ban
Powered Alcohol

LANSING - A news conference to call on Michigan Legislature to ban powered alcohol was held early Tuesday afternoon on April 28th, 2015.

Law enforcement, health advocates, business owners, physicians, and legislators all stood before the media explaining why the product should be banned.

The Federal government approved powered alcohol back in March, but according to the National Conference of State Legislatures; six states have already chosen to banned the product.

Representative Scott Dianda (D-Calumet), said "I think this evil will hurt children in our society in the state of Michigan more than ever because they want to experiment with different things and this is something the size of a tea bag that can be held in their pocket without their parent or guardian know they have it."

Dianda went on to say they're working to trying and get the powder banned as soon as possible.
