with $20 Million Renovation and
Expansion

OKEMOS - The Ingham County Medical Care Facility, located on Dobie Road in Okemos, recently got approval for a $20 million renovation and expansion project.

The facility, which offers long-term and memory care, rehabilitation services and outpatient therapy, will be constructing a new building on the grounds that will have private rooms and bathrooms, fine dining services, a spa, a new therapy gym and more.

The project also includes the extensive renovation of their current buildings, which will add more private rooms, and another addition to the front of the building which will provide office space and a new reception area.

"The reason that we're doing the renovation is that it's directly to our mission statement, which is 'dedicated to improving lives,'" said Kristen Campbell, the Marketing and Business Development Director of the facility. "Every aspect of the renovation, from the design and construction, to the equipment and final touches, are all being done to improve the lives of those we serve."

Groundbreaking is expected to take place this October or November.
