LANSING - Jen Swanchara is the Public Address Announcer for the Lansing Lugnuts, and what you may not know is that she is one of just a handful of women breaking into this field. She is one of only two female PA announcers in all of Minor and Major League Baseball.

Swanchara, has been honing her skills in a variety of different sports and venus. On top of her duties for the Toronto Blue Jays minor league affiliate, she also worked state championship tournaments at the Breslin Center, she's an active member of AWSM (Association for Women in Sports Media) and is a strong presence within the local chapter of BTN (Big Ten Network).

With being one of the first of her kind she is not only a pioneer but a strong example for up and coming female broadcasters. This is her story.
