Police Believe Suspect Is Responsible for Two Separate Robberies.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Independent Bank located at 2119 Hamilton Rd, Okemos, MI was robbed early Tuesday afternoon on March 10, 2015.


The suspect told a bank employee he had a gun and demanded money. The employee cooperated and then suspect fled on foot and crossed Hamilton Road.

Prior to the robbery, the suspect was seen on foot across the street from the bank. It is believed he fled to the northeast corner of Hamilton and Okemos Road to a vehicle parked behind nearby businesses.

The robbery led to an investigation by Meridian Township Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

Law enforcement officials now believe the suspect is the same man responsible for the Dart Bank robbery that took place in Holt, MI on January 14, 2015.

A joint investigation is now being conducted between the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Ingham County Sheriff's Office, and the Meridian Township Police.

The suspect is described a white male between the age of 25 through 35-years-old, with scruffy facial hair and seen wearing; a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes and an orange hat.

The vehicle is described as a Pewter, extended cab, pick up,with a metal bed extender, and the make of the vehicle is still unknown.
