New State Senator Sworn Into Office

LANSING - State Senator of the 23rd District, Curtis Hertel Jr. was recently sworn in Wednesday, January 14th in Lansing.

"Today was our first swearing in, our first session day of the year. It was wonderful to have friends and family here to support us," said Hertel. "We are already working on bills for the session, we have already submitted some to be drafted and we can start moving forward and are excited to get started working for the people."

Hertel is excited to be working for the people and says his first goal is to get the infrastructure and schools properly funded.

If any resident has a concern, idea, or proposal, Hertel encourages the public to visit the capital and speak with him.
