Okemos Dominates Holt

UPDATE: OKEMOS - Chieftain country was roaring, as Okemos coach Paul Palmer and his Chieftains exploded onto the field for this conference rival game against the Holt Rams.

In the first quarter, Okemos quarterback Jonny Bolas hands the ball to Ian Horne for a quick Chieftain touchdown.

Second quarter, off the snap, Bolas connects with Jared Motley for a 20-yard touchdown and the Chieftains are up 13-0. With less than a minute left in the first half Bolas again, hands-off, but this time to senior Evan Leski who blasts past Holt defenders. Chieftains now up 20-0 going into the half.

Finally in the end of the fourth quarter, Bolas himself runs the ball in for 15-yards scoring Okemos's last touchdown of the night.

Okemos wins 33-0 and literally runs past Holt in what you could call the "Chieftain show". Rushing for a total of 305 yards on 49 carries, all which came from seniors.

"Hopefully we got some confidence built in us with this win, and it's a big win for us," said Okemos Coach Paul Palmer. "Holt's a quality team and you know one game at a time."

Okemos is now 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the CAAC. They will travel to Lansing Eastern this Friday.
