Main Signs and Symptoms for a Stroke

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Stroke is one of the leading causes of disability in the United States and it is also the 4th leading cause of death. Being aware of the signs and symptoms of a stroke is very important, because it can happen to anybody, anywhere and anytime, no matter how old the person is.

So what are some of the common symptoms for a stroke?
#1:face drooping
#2 weakness and numbness in the body
#3: Having difficulty in speaking

When you notice these signs, you need to act FAST!
F stands for face. Ask the person to smile to see if his or her face is uneven.
A stands for arm. Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?
S is speech or speak. Ask the person to say something, can he or she speak clearly?
T is time. Call 911 as soon as possible, because every second counts.
