Courtesy Ford Requests Special-Use Permit

Courtesy Ford Requests Special-Use
Permit

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Courtesy Ford is requesting to construct an addition to their current location at 1830 W. Grand River Ave. The requested special-use permit is also going to be reviewed as a site plan review application. There will be a public hearing next week followed immediately by a public information meeting.

Meridian Township Associate Planner Martha Wyatt said, "They've had a few minor additions in the past. I think what they're trying to do is modernize the facility for their own purposes. The outside, the existing facade will also be updated."

Some of the vehicle display models that are currently in the front will be removed due to the constructing of new walls. Courtesy Ford is also looking to update their outdoor lighting on their building.

Meridian Township Director of Community Planning & Development Mark Kieselbach will be the deciding body on whether or not this special request will be approved. If approved, Courtesy will begin construction this fall.
