Construction Company's Variance
Requests Approved at ZBA Meeting

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting on June 11, 2014, Mark Sanders Construction requested variance from two sections of the code of ordinance to help with the building of a residential site.

The requests were to build a driveway off Van Atta Road, the road with the lowest functional classification, as opposed to the wetland area of Piper Road.

They also requested to build a barn in front of the house they are in the process of building, saying the property is a rural area and would not disturb neighbors or disrupt the wetlands on the property.

The Board decided quickly about the driveway and approved their request and while after some discussion, the Board also approved the barn request.
