MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Friends of Historical Meridian are getting ready to celebrate 40 years of accomplishments in 2014.

Founded in 1974 this private non-profit has been saving and restoring buildings from the 19th century.

Their stated mission is "to create and sustain an appreciation of local history.

The Friends offer several community outreach programs including Music in the Park and the Fall Heritage Festival. Soon they will be setting up for Christmas in the Village.
