Driving Skills For Life

UPDATE: LANSING - “Well, this is our third year that we done this program, Ford Driving Skills for life program. Teenagers have more accidents, we want to give them instructions and advanced driving skills to hopefully save their lives someday,” said Keith Wilson, Michigan State police officer.

Instructions include skid control, evasive maneuvering, controlled barking, off-road recovery and basic vehicle maintenance.

“The most benefit they can got out of this course is the skid skills, they can learn how to control the cars in the ice or very wet conditions,” said Paul Flores, parent of teen driver.

The Ford Driving Skills for life program was established in 2003, it is now one of the nation’s most comprehensive teen driver safety programs.
