New Salvation Army taking over Old
Circuit City

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Old Circuit City building located near Foods for Living and right next to State of Fitness is getting a makeover.

The Salvation Army is readying up the 28,000 square foot space with plenty of clothing, furniture and more.

"We're about eighty percent completion we still have some touch up work that we have to do some signage and some shelving and things such as that. We're looking forward to our opening later on this summer," said Major Michael Thomas of the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center.

Major Thomas also said the Township made them feel invited and that the transition into their location has been made easier by the openness of the community.

This specific store will feature both a vintage section and a section dedicated to Michigan State gear.

Salvation Army is expected to open on August 2nd.
