UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Summertime is official come June 1st, and with the weather heating up and the sun coming out a myriad of restaurants can be found opening up their outdoor patios.

Locals can wine and dine outdoors at plenty of local eateries including the newly renovated Mayfair Bar on Lake Lansing Road. Other options include anything from Noodles and Grand Traverse Pie Co. to Stillwater Grill and Old Chicago.

If you're feeling too hot in the sun, indoor seating remains to be an option, and many of Meridian Townships eateries offer comfortable air conditioning.
