New Art Policy Could Be In Place if
Grant Is Received

UPDATE: OKEMOS - The Department of Community Planning and Development is working on an art policy.

Staff and the Township Board have been working on this policy to determine how they will handle art work that is either donated or purchased. They applied for a grant last year through LEAP and didn't get it, but reapplied this year in hopes of getting it.

If they do, they have a few things in mind they'd like to besides display the art work.

"Everything from insurance of the actual piece to designing a plaque to display the person who made it when it was made. Or even to holding like a ceremony to dedicate," Said Peter Menser Associate Planner

The grant application is due at the end of March.
