UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Residence flocked to the near by pools in order to stay cool and receive some relief from the heat. Many children shared how to get relief is by playing in the water, so how does our pets stay cool?

Dr. Schultz a veterinary provided several tips on how to keep your pet cool this summer.
1. Spray the dog down with water before you take it for a walk, this allows the dog to stay cool.

2. Do not bring dogs to outdoor events when it is extremely hot as this can cause a heat stroke or in some cases death
.
3. Do not leave your pet in a car in the heat as this may also cause heat stroke.
