2012 Order to Maintain Sidewalks

2012 Order to Maintain Sidewalks

UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Order is an annual program designed to assess the walkways in neighborhoods around the township, fix them, and charge residents for any necessary costs, in an effort to keep the township looking nice. Ray Severy, Director of Public Works and Engineering for Meridian Township, says that the program looks at about 10% of the community at a time for the assessment. The township then sends out notices for necessary repairs and residents can either fix it themselves or allow the township to send a contractor. The program also requires residents to remove snow at most 24 hours after it has fallen. Any residents with questions or concerns can attend the Township Board's public hearing in the Meridian Township Hall at 6pm on March 5th.
