Coaches vs. Cancer

Coaches vs. Cancer

UPDATE: OKEMOS, MI - Dusty's Cellar and other local restaurants partnered with Big Ten coaches to help raise money for cancer awareness and education throughout the Big Ten.

On Saturday, Jan. 26, Dusty's Cellar competed with Gilbert and Blake's seeing who could raise the most money to help fight cancer. Donations were accepted from customers and coaches with all proceeds going to the cause.

C.J. Davis, manager of Dusty's Wine Bar, says this is a great even for the competitive spirit of the Big Ten.

"We raise money for cancer awareness and education within the Big Ten. So because we're competitive enough in the Big Ten, they thought they would spread it out to restaurants and businesses. So the coaches asked us to help raise money over the next couple days," Davis said.

The manager of the winning restaurant gets to sit behind the bench at a Spartan home basketball game.
