UPDATE: OKEMOS - Where There's A Will There's A Way stopped by the Okemos Entertainment and Modeling Group earlier this month to try and empower Lansing area youth.

The group of teens presented skits, poetry, and gave motivational speeches in an attempt to try and keep Lansing area kids in school and off the streets. The group was comprised of college students from the area and they each told their story and gave advice on how to avoid making poor decisions. Towards the end of the night a second round of advice was given to the youth on preparing college portfolios and the application process. All in all, the event was a great success for those who attended.

Where There's A Will There's A Way is a nine part series that was created after some violent youth activity in the Lansing area. One of their main ideas is that there is a college for everyone, so giving up is not an option.
