UPDATE: OKEMOS, MI - The Meridian Township Board approved a plan to renovate the current Okemos Library. This project will include expanding the space of the library to include the entirety of the building, creating WIFI access throughout the facility, and remodeling the restrooms to meet ADA requirements.

Township Manager, Jerry Richards, said that the project is expected to be underway soon, and will most likely be finished this time next year.

To fund the renovation project, a third of the required cost will come from private fundraising efforts, while the rest will come from the general fund.
