Restroom Ribbon Cutting

UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - North Meridian Road Park is home to soccer fields, hiking and ski trails, a playground facility, a sledding hill, and now, heated restrooms that will be open year round.

The restroom facilities were created and dedicated with the help of the park commission, Robert Ford, John Parrish, Michigan Demolition and Excavation, and the Okemos Kiwanis Club.

Other additions to North Meridian Road Park are being discussed. A possible annex to the restroom facility could include a cross-country ski rental area as well as a concessions area for use during soccer games and sledding.

Todd Wilson, Park Commission Chair, says that the park commission has a wish list under the Capital Area Development plan that is available to the public online via www.meridian.mi.us.
