Lions Club Sensory Garden

Lions Club Sensory Garden

UPDATE: LANSING - Finding a place where you feel like you are somewhere in the forest is not easy especially in cities. But luckily, there's a place in Lansing where residents can get a feeling of nature.

Potter Park Zoo and the Lansing Lion's Club agreed to build a garden in the zoo for residents to engage all of senses and to enjoy and to appreciate the natural environment.

Herbs are planted in the garden where visitors can touch, feel, and smell to get the whole view of what things can happen in the garden setting.

The garden is specially designed for people of all ages and ability levels. The walkways are wide and easy to navigate with a wheel chair. Moreover, Lansing Lion's Club plans to add more artist sculptures and additional decorations.

Both the zoo and the garden are open all year around except on Christmas day.
