UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Based on requests from residents in the Robins Way neighborhood in Okemos, the township has proposed making improvements to street lighting in that area.

The township board has originally planned to discuss the proposed improvements at the September 4th meeting but decided to table to the issue until this week's meeting.

The proposal specifies the addition of two high pressured sodium streetlights in the area on the east side of Robin's Way.

The township board said they would like to hear from residents in the area at the next meeting to hear those in support of or against the project.
