Kinawa Improvements Project

Kinawa Improvements Project

UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Residents in a certain subdivision may have to wait to have their flooding problems taken care of.

The Kinawa view and branches drain improvements plans to relieve storm water from the backyard residents in the Kinawa View subdivision.

The project would cost around 800 thousand dollars and all taxpayers from the township would have to pay 30 percent of the total cost.

"It was my recommendation that the township object to that high of percentage of an at large percentage," said Jerry Richards, Township Manager.

The taxpayers of Meridian Township would have been responsible for 240 thousand dollars of the Kinawa View project.

The next step for the township board is to follow the appeals process.
