UPDATE: HASLETT, MI - From a very young age, Haslett High School quarterback, Adam Foren has been fascinated by sports.

"My neighbors would comment on this little boy sitting at the dining room table, studying the sports section in the Lansing State Journal," said Teri Banas, Adam's Mother.

The high school quarterback began his athletic career playing soccer, and in fourth grade was an offensive lineman. Eventually, Foren would settle into the quarterback role in his high school years.

"You know as a quarterback it's one of the glory positions, but you can't have success at quarterback without all the offensive line and the other players around," said Foren. "That's what I learned when I played offensive line."

Along with playing football, Foren also played basketball and baseball in high school and received the 'Mike Devlin Scholarship' award, for being a scholar athlete at Haslett High School.

"The character building he's had through his experiences in Haslett schools and through the coaching staff has been really important," said Banas. "You know it's helped shape who he is."

Foren verbally committed to play football at Hope College this fall of 2012 for the Flying Dutchman. When moving on to the next phase in his life, Foren wants one thing.

'I just want to be remembered as a good person who did all the right things, and when things were going bad he didn't jump off the ship I guess if you will," said Foren. "I want to be remembered as a person who did it the right way and was pretty decent at what they did."
