Fighting Cancer Fashion Show

Fighting Cancer Fashion Show

UPDATE: EAST LANSING - It was a night of food, fashion, fun---and philanthropy. Local designers had their garments shown off by spartan celebrities to raise money for a good cause. For many of the models and audience--the cause was personal.

The proceeds of the night went to the MSU Health Team's cancer treatment and research facilities. Most of the models are used to spending their time on the court or the field, rather than the runway and were nervous, gearing up for the catwalk.

Although it was funny to see basketball and football players strut their stuff, the night was shadowed with a more somber note. The night was in honor of Adalin Farnum, a little girl who lost her battle to cancer last year. Adalin is the daughter of Tammy Farnum, the Michigan State University women's soccer coach.

It was also an opportunity for the "Spartan family" to get back together. Former Spartan Men's Basketball guard, Tim Bograkos said that it feels like a reunion: "We don't get to see each other as much as we'd like to."
