Meridian Township Hires a New Full Time Paramedic/Firefighter

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Township Board held a meeting on April 26, 2022 where Fire Chief Mike Hamel gave a presentation introducing Timothy Brighton, a new full time paramedic and firefighter for the Township.

Chief Hamel said, β€œHe has a lot of experience and a great attitude and he has already hit the ground running. We are so excited to have him to fill this position.”

Brighton is an ex-marine living near Jackson. He has been a paramedic and firefighter for ten years and Chief Hamel is very glad to have him on board.

After getting out of the marines in 2013, Brighton became a paramedic and firefighter in New Mexico.

Throughout his years of experience Brighton has participated in many rescue missions. These missions have ranged from dive rescue, cave rescue, and more.

β€œI want to thank everyone for allowing me to come and introduce myself and the chief for giving me an opportunity at the fire department.”

The introduction ended with handshakes from Brighton to the board.
