OKEMOS, MI - February 1st, 2019 became a monumental day for young females across the United States. It meant that any girl aged 11-17 was allowed to join Scouts BSA, formally known as Boy Scouts. And now, a year and a half later, Autumn Eyre and Reagan Woods from Troop 164 in Okemos will be the first females in the area to reach the rank of Eagle Scout.
HOMTV’s Samantha Diehl gives you an inside look at the two Scouts as they discuss their journey through Scouts BSA. Reagan and Autumn are also joined by Marla Ekola, Scoutmaster of Troop 164 and Reagan’s mother. Together, they talk about the importance of having this opportunity available for girls and the valuable skills they've learned through the program.
